About Us
Sunshine Coast Natural Living came about when Rachel Ratajczak and Kirsty McManus were discussing the difficulty of keeping track of local natural therapists and alternative businesses on the Coast.
Rachel, the owner of Ezili in Tewantin, found her shelves and counter filling up with local business cards in order to refer customers to complementary services. She did some research and discovered that many of these people didn't have e-mail addresses or web-sites, and decided it was time someone developed a way of getting the industry online and connected.
Kirsty, a web designer and naturopathy student, designed the directory for local alternative businesses so they could get online affordably.
Their goal is to help connect people in the industry and increase exposure to clients and customers. For those who already have web-sites, the directory offers an additional way of being found through the internet, as well as boosting search power on existing sites. There is even a package deal (including a free listing) for those who want a dedicated stand-alone website.
Sunshine Coast Natural Living aims to be more accessible and localised than some of the bigger sites like Natural Therapy Pages. It is also a place people can visit to stay up to date with workshops and events, or read up on different areas of expertise.
